How it works

Three dials
decide everything.

Deductible, reimbursement percentage, annual limit. Every pet plan you'll ever be shown is just those three numbers arranged differently — and the price moves when you move them.

The dials
$250

Deductible

What you cover before the plan pays anything. Usually annual, so you clear it once a year rather than every visit. Higher deductible, lower premium, more exposure.

80%

Reimbursement

The share of the remaining bill you get back. Usually 70, 80 or 90%. The rest stays yours no matter how big the claim gets.

$10,000

Annual limit

The most a plan pays in a year. Past that, it's on you. Some plans are unlimited and priced like it.

The arithmetic

Worked through, on that bill.

Take off your deductible
Once a year, not every visit.
− $250
What's left is eligible
The plan pays its percentage of this, not of the full bill.
$3,590
The plan pays 80%
Nowhere near the $10,000 annual cap, so nothing gets trimmed.
$2,872
You pay the rest
Your deductible plus the 20% the plan doesn't cover.

Filing a claim

You pay the vet. We get you paid back.

1

You go to any licensed vet

No networks. Your vet doesn't need a relationship with the carrier — you keep whoever you already trust.

2

You pay the clinic

Almost every pet plan reimburses you rather than paying the vet directly. Plan for that at checkout.

3

You file the invoice

Send the itemized invoice and the visit notes. Straightforward claims are usually settled within a couple of weeks.

4

You're reimbursed

Your deductible comes off first, then the plan pays its percentage of what's left, up to your annual limit.

We'll run your numbers first.

One email when coverage is available. Nothing else, ever.
